The idea of presenting two artists with two fundamentally different ways of relating to the medium: those of digital photography and manipulation and of straight traditional photography is central.This diference alone creates a polarity common in the discussion concerning the medium. Although both artists respond to the same theme, they do so in a very different way thus generating polarity  on the content level as well.
Sotiris Therianos handles the medium in an personal, inovating way, blending layers of photographic data with fragments of painting into frames of unexpected reality or surreality. Therianos approaches the theme by adressing cultural identity and environmental issues. His choice of native cultural and natural elements constitute a dialect which communicates memories, concerns and dreams or, the past the present and the future.
Nikos Moschos is a lover of straight photography and the perfect moment.  He uses the medium for the pleasure of looking through the lens and the outcome are classical images that can be enjoyed by any viewer.
